A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME!

Hi! Thanks for stopping by! My name is Rakelia Pearson, MSN, RN, IBCLC. I am a Registered Nurse with experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care, as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I hold a Master’s degree in Human Lactation and have dedicated much of my career to supporting women and families throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and their breastfeeding journeys.

I am also a U.S. Army veteran and retired military spouse. My husband and I have been happily married for 20 years, and together we have three beautiful children. Our military journey has taken us all over, giving me the opportunity to care for and connect with families from many different backgrounds and communities.

My passion for breastfeeding support began with my own experience as a new mother. I started my breastfeeding journey without much knowledge about breastfeeding and without the support in my community that I needed to feel successful. That experience stayed with me because I strongly believe families should have access to knowledgeable, compassionate support regardless of where they live or what their breastfeeding journey looks like. It ultimately inspired me to pursue advanced education in lactation and build a practice where families can receive the Individualized care and support I once needed.

I understand that pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, and caring for a newborn can come with many questions and challenges. My approach is supportive, evidence-based, and individualized because no two women, babies, or families are exactly alike.

We offer in-office and virtual lactation services, including prenatal lactation education, breastfeeding counseling and support, weighted feeds, latch and feeding assessments, pumping support, individualized feeding plans, postpartum education and support, and much more.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming space where Mamas and families feel heard, supported, educated, and confident in the decisions they make for themselves and their babies.
